 Custom
wedding cake toppers and sculptures are the most popular items ordered
on Elizabeth Bonura's Web site, weddingsculptures.com. The sculptures
are based off photographs.
It
wasn't that long ago that Elizabeth Bonura sat at her office as an
Austin IBM employee, sure that she wasn't meant to be a programmer.
After the birth of her son and a thoughtful Valentine's Day gift from
her husband — the registration of the domain name
"weddingsculptures.com" — Bonura was able to leave her job and focus on
sculpting.
Her site, which allows anyone on the Internet to order custom
sculptures and cake toppers, keeps her busy: The more complex jobs can
take weeks to complete. We molded a few questions for Bonura to answer.

A Favorite Cake Topper Pose: "Over the Threshold" |
|
Written by Elizabeth Bonura

Thursday, 25 October 2007 |
One of the Most Popular Poses for My Custom Wedding Cake Toppers is the Groom Carrying the Bride Over the Threshold.
There are several variations to this pose... from the traditional bride tossing her bouquet to a scuba diver carrying his mermaid bride out of the water! Be creative and think "what will best represent us at the time we get married?" Some couples like to include their hobbies or careers. Others like to include the family pet. Whatever you decide, I can make it! Remember, you are designing a sculpture that will last a life-time!
